International Women’s Strike// Paro Internacional de Mujeres #8M

Convocamos a las mujeres del mundo a adherirse al Paro Internacional de Mujeres el 8 de marzo de 2017. El Paro Internacional de Mujeres (PIM) es un movimiento de base formado por mujeres de más de 40 países. Fue inspirado desde las huelgas de mujeres de Islandia y Polonia y creado en las últimas semanas de octubre de 2016 por mujeres de varios países como respuesta a la actual violencia social, legal, sexual, política, moral y verbal experimentada por las mujeres actuales en diversas latitudes.

We are organizing a big international strike of women for the 8th of March 2017. Together we work on a scheme of unifying actions to be realized in our respective countries. The International Women’s Strike (IWS) is a grassroots movement established by women from different parts of the world. The inspiration came from Poland and it was created by women from different countries in recent weeks of autumn 2016 as a response to the current social, legal, political, moral and verbal violence experienced by contemporary women at various latitudes.

▶ ¿CÓMO PROTESTAMOS? Sugerimos una forma abierta de protesta:

● Paro total, cese de actividades remunerativas o no remunerativas en el trabajo o en las tareas domésticas y en los roles sociales como cuidadoras durante la jornada completa.
● Paro de tiempo parcial parando la producción/trabajo por 1 o 2 horas.
● En caso de que no puedas parar en tu trabajo: usar elementos de negro o violeta como ropa, cintas o cualquier elemento que decidas. En Latinoamérica se usará este color, dado que representa el color de la lucha histórica de las mujeres trabajadoras.
● Boicotear las empresas que usan el sexismo en sus propagandas o en su enfoque hacia las trabajadoras.
● Boicotear a misóginos locales (a ser elegidos por ti)
● Huelga de sexo
● Cese de compras por la jornada
● Bloqueo de caminos y calles
● Demostraciones, piquetes, plantones, marchas.
● Actos publicos de apostasia de la iglesia católica
● Instala automensaje „fuera de oficina” y explica porque.
A las 18h, hora local, todas nos reunimos a leer el manifiesto de PIM (sera anunciado en los próximos dias) y hacer un ruido enorme para tremblar la planeta con nuestros gritos.

▶ HOW DO WE PROTEST? We suggest an open form of protesting. All depends on your decisions:
● Total strike – stopping work or housework and social roles as caregivers for whole workday
● Part-time strike – stopping production /work for 1 or 2 hours
● in case you can’t stop your work use black elements – black clothes, black ribbon or any other element decided
● Boycott of companies using sexism in their advertisements or approach to workers
● Boycott of chosen local misogynists (to be selected by you)
● Sex strike
● Shopping strike
● Blockage of roads and streets
● Demonstrations, pickets, marches
● Install auto-reply „out of office” and explain why
● Public acts of apostasy from the Catholic church
At 6pm of your local time all of us make one more common act – read the IWS manifest (to be announced) and make noice to shake the planet.
